FAQs

What should I expect in the first session?

The first session is primarily an "intake" appointment. We'll discuss what brought you to therapy, your personal history, and what you hope to achieve. It's also a chance for you to see if my style feels like a good fit for you.

How long does therapy last?

Depending on your insurance, most sessions are 45-minutes but can be as long as 50 minutes if you feel you need the extra time and your provider is available. We suggest booking longer sessions with your provider ahead of time. However, be aware that not all insurances will approve continual 50-minute sessions.

Most clients report some relief within 8-12 sessions but continue with therapy for support for ongoing personal growth.

Clients often start out weekly but can shift to biweekly sessions once they have felt some relief.
